La Tonnelle is a 19th century “maison bourgeoise de vigneron”,  or wine-growers house, well located in the medieval town of Murviel  les Beziers,  12 kilometres from the city of Beziers,  and close to the southern France autoroute network.  Beziers airport is just 20 minutes away and the airports of Montpellier and Carcassonne are both approximately one hour.

The small town of Murviel is built on an ancient site and is situated close to the old Roman road, the ‘via Domitia’. The narrow medieval streets encircling the chateau and church form one of the more important “circulades”, or circular walks, in the Midi Languedocien.
